Responsibilities
- Consult on environmental matters to ensure compliance with the EHIA measures action plan for the Laem Chabang Port Development Project, Phase 3 (Part 2).
- Lead and consult on project activities involving individuals, teams, clients, and other resources.
- Conduct weekly EHIA audits with consultants, including monitoring and corrective actions.
- Conduct monthly EHIA audits with AEC and third parties, including monitoring and corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice on resolving issues affecting project implementation in accordance with EHIA measures.
- Present and defend EHIA concerns to support CHEC (Thai)'s construction methods with consultants, PAT, the Environmental Monitoring Committee, third parties, and other relevant organizations to ensure EHIA compliance.
- Develop and implement solutions for conflicts between EHIA requirements and contractual obligations, in collaboration with consultants and PAT, to ensure the best benefit for CHEC (Thai).
- Monitor the progress of each project stage and facilitate the achievement of necessary results.
- Contribute operational, strategic, or technical expertise to project initiatives.
- Collaborate with government agencies to define EHIA parameters and develop comprehensive project plans.
- Ensure project scope, schedule, and alignment on goals and deliverables are reasonable and achievable.
- Ensure regulations include appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Address EHIA issue management routinely in all project management and planning meetings.
- Implement management processes that allocate adequate resources to ensure continuous improvement in EHIA performance.
- Develop plans and organizational structures that clearly define staff responsibilities and authorities for EHIA, both in text and diagrammatic form.
- Coordinate effectively with top management and external government agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in environmental engineering, preferably within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Possession of a Professional Environmental Engineering License (สามัญวิศวกร).
- Strong technical expertise in EIA, ISO 14001, and environmental risk management.
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze environmental data, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Willingness to work onsite with flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by project schedules.
