Responsibilities
- Prepare and update Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Procedures, and Method Statements for submission and approval by the Engineer.
- Compile and prepare Material Submittal Packages, including factory certificates, test reports, and safety certificates, for submission to the Client/Consultant for approval.
- Manage and maintain the project's quality management documentation system to ensure proper organization and easy accessibility.
- Coordinate and conduct quality-related training programs for project personnel.
- Prepare summary reports and present quality performance results to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure that site operations are carried out in accordance with approved engineering procedures and established quality control standards.
- Conduct internal quality audits covering the Engineering, Procurement, Concrete Batching Plant, and Construction departments.
- Audit and monitor subcontractors' work processes to ensure compliance with approved Method Statements and Quality Plans.
- Prepare and maintain the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Register, track corrective action status, and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented by the construction team before formally requesting NCR closure.
- Analyze material testing trends, including concrete compressive strength, reinforcing steel tensile strength, and soil compaction test results, to monitor and control quality performance.
- Maintain and control calibration certificates for testing equipment, external laboratory test reports, and the project's quality records documentation archive.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, specifically in construction projects
- Proficiency in business-level Chinese (Mandarin) or English communication
- Understanding of construction standards and quality control procedures
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to use basic computer programs and engineering-related software
- Experience in construction projects in Southern Thailand is a plus.
