About the role

We are seeking a QC Engineer - Chinese or English Speaking to join CHEC (THAI) COMPANY LIMITED on a contract basis. This role is pivotal to maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and control across our construction operations in Songkhla. As a QC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet international quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding project integrity, minimising rework, and delivering exceptional results to our clients. This is a contract position based on-site in Songkhla.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive quality inspections and tests on construction materials, workmanship, and finished components to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards

• Developing and implementing quality assurance plans, procedures, and checklists specific to project requirements

• Documenting quality control activities, test results, and inspections with accurate records and reports for project documentation

• Identifying non-conformances and quality defects, raising corrective action requests, and tracking remedial measures to completion

• Liaising with construction teams, contractors, and site management to communicate quality requirements and resolve quality-related issues promptly

• Performing material testing and verification, including sampling, laboratory testing coordination, and certification review

• Conducting regular site audits and inspections to monitor adherence to quality standards and safety protocols

• Preparing quality reports and notifications for project stakeholders, management, and clients

• Collaborating with project engineers and supervisors to address quality concerns and implement preventative measures

• Maintaining familiarity with relevant construction codes, standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to the project

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance and control within construction projects

• Proficiency in Chinese or English language (essential for communication with international teams and documentation)

• Strong knowledge of construction materials testing, quality standards, and inspection methodologies

• Familiarity with relevant construction codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks (ISO 9001, ACI, ASTM, or equivalent)

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformances accurately

• Proficiency in quality management software and MS Office applications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality deliverables

• Physical capability to conduct site inspections and work in construction environments

• Previous experience on large-scale or infrastructure projects is highly advantageous

• Certification in quality assurance or construction inspection would be beneficial
