About the role

The HR Specialist is responsible for managing local human resource operations and labor relations for the Songkhla Lake Bridge Construction Project. The role encompasses local employee recruitment, employment contract management, compensation and benefits administration, social security and labor legal compliance, performance management, employee relations, and coordination with local labor authorities to ensure smooth workforce operations and full compliance with Thai labor laws.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment process for local staff, engineers, skilled workers, and site labor

• Source candidates through local channels, job portals, community networks, and recruitment agencies

• Conduct interviews, pre-employment screenings, background checks, and reference checks

• Coordinate pre-employment medical examinations and site safety inductions before site entry

• Administer local staff attendance records, leave management, overtime calculations, and allowances

• Coordinate with Headquarters/Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing

• Manage Social Security Fund registrations, contributions, reporting, and Workmen's Compensation claims

• Handle local labor grievance procedures, conflict resolutions, and disciplinary investigations

• Ensure all HR practices strictly comply with the Thai Labor Protection Act, Labor Relations Act, and related laws

• Maintain complete, updated, and confidential personnel files, employment records, and HR databases

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Business Administration, Political Science, or related fields

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in HR functions, with at least 3 years in site HR/construction projects

• Strong knowledge of Thai Labor Protection Act, Social Security Regulations, and Compensation Management

• Experience working with Chinese contractors, multicultural teams, or large infrastructure projects is highly preferred
