About the role

The Shop Drawing Engineer prepares, develops, coordinates, and revises construction/shop drawings based on approved design drawings, project specifications, and site requirements. The role ensures drawings are technically coordinated, constructible, accurate, and submitted for review/approval in accordance with the project schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, detailed drawings, construction layouts, sections, elevations, and reinforcement/detail drawings as required for the project

• Develop drawings from approved design drawings, specifications, calculations, and relevant technical instructions

• Ensure dimensions, levels, coordinates, material specifications, and details are clearly indicated and consistent

• Review design drawings and identify discrepancies, missing information, clashes, or potential construction issues before submission

• Coordinate with design engineers, site engineers, construction teams, survey teams, and other disciplines to resolve drawing issues

• Raise technical queries and Requests for Information (RFIs) when clarification or design confirmation is required

• Prepare drawing registers, submission schedules, transmittals, and revision records

• Submit drawings to the responsible reviewer, consultant, or client through the established project procedure and follow up review status

• Revise drawings based on comments and maintain revision clouds, revision numbers, dates, and status

• Provide drawing clarification and technical support to site teams during construction

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field

• Experience in shop drawing preparation for bridge, road, building, or infrastructure projects is preferred

• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, structural details, and construction methods

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or other relevant software is an advantage

• Able to use MS Office for registers and reports

• Detail-oriented, analytical, organized, able to coordinate across disciplines, meet deadlines, and work effectively with site teams

• Good command of Thai; working knowledge of English for reports and coordination

• Chinese language ability is an advantage
