Responsibilities
- Drive cost-down activities by communicating target cost reductions to suppliers
- Analyze cost breakdown details and compare specifications with alternative models and suppliers
- Identify and develop new suppliers to create competitive sourcing options
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost reduction targets and follow up on progress
- Evaluate quotations to ensure pricing is reasonable before approval; escalate non-cooperative suppliers for further action

New Part Development (P4 Stage / Mass Production Readiness)
- Take corrective actions with suppliers and related stakeholders if endurance test results are not acceptable
- Ensure all issues are resolved and test results meet required standards prior to mass production
- Collect and analyze part issues for continuous improvement in new models
- Monitor supplier tooling and processes during trial and pre-mass production stages
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence and avoid impact on assembly operations
- Quality Assurance of New Parts
- Monitor supplier tooling and processes during trial and pre-mass production stages

Supplier Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance - Review supplier documentation related to substance control for compliance
- Coordinate with suppliers to eliminate hazardous substances if identified
- Request and verify PCR (Product Chemical Report) before submission to QC
- Follow up until approval is obtained from QC
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Experience in the automotive industry, production control, or production planning is an advantage (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) [Job Family JD JS | PowerPoint]
- Good command of English, with a minimum TOEIC score of 600
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks under pressure
- Knowledge of cost structure analysis
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
