Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of international trade compliance, including import/export regulations, customs documentation, and adherence to trade laws.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures related to international trade.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on company operations.
- Prepare and review import/export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on trade compliance best practices.
- Liaise with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to resolve compliance issues.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to maintain compliance with international trade laws.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate potential trade risks and penalties.
- Stay informed about global trade trends and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 experiences in international trade and compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, export controls, and trade agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong understanding of product export regulations, particularly to Malaysia and China.
- Ability to travel abroad if required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
