Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor all civil engineering activities from project inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Design & Engineering: Conduct and review civil design calculations, drawings, and specifications for solar farm components such as foundations, access roads, drainage systems, and site grading.
- Construction Supervision: Lead and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Contractor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for civil contractors, providing technical guidance, resolving on-site issues, and ensuring work quality meets project requirements.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for all civil works.
- Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles and standards, including site layout, geotechnical considerations, and structural integrity.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and as-built drawings.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and clients, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Safety: Champion and uphold a strong safety culture on all project sites, ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a focus on large-scale construction projects. Experience in renewable energy or solar farm projects is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in civil design, including familiarity with relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Demonstrable experience in managing and supervising on-site contractors and construction teams.
- Solid knowledge of civil engineering standards, building codes, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites located in various provinces.
- Possession of a professional engineering license is a plus.
