Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall manufacturing and plant operations strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead Production, Manufacturing Engineering, QA and QC functions to achieve operational targets in safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and manage production plans, capacity requirements, manpower plans, machine utilization and operational resources to ensure consistent product availability and on-time delivery.
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities, including process design, factory layout, line balancing, automation, machine and tooling improvement, new product introduction, process validation and engineering change control.
- Strengthen QA and QC systems covering incoming, in-process and final inspection, supplier quality, customer complaints, defect analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and product reliability.
- Drive operational excellence and cost-improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, VE/VA, waste reduction, productivity improvement and process optimization.
- Develop and maintain effective manufacturing systems, SOPs, Work Instructions, engineering standards, quality standards, maintenance practices, safety requirements and operational controls.
- Plan and manage plant budgets, operating costs, CAPEX, equipment investments and cost-reduction programs to improve manufacturing competitiveness and support sustainable business growth.
- Lead international manufacturing collaboration, technology transfer, production standard alignment and plant-readiness initiatives with overseas business and technical partners.
- Build and develop a strong plant leadership team by coaching managers, engineers and production personnel, strengthening technical capability and creating a sustainable talent and knowledge-management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production engineering, plant engineering, quality management or related industrial manufacturing functions.
- At least 7 years of experience in a senior leadership role with responsibility for Production, Engineering, Quality or overall plant operations.
- Proven experience leading manufacturing performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, manpower and operational KPIs.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity management, manufacturing processes, factory layout, automation, maintenance, engineering standards, SOPs and change control.
- Solid experience in QA/QC systems and quality methodologies such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, CAPA or equivalent quality tools.
- Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, line balancing, productivity improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Experience in machinery, industrial equipment, automotive components, electrical products, electronics, precision manufacturing or other engineered products; experience with air compressors or compressed-air systems would be an advantage.
- Experience working in a multinational manufacturing company, international production environment, overseas technology-transfer project or cross-border engineering collaboration will be highly preferred.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including experience in plant budgeting, operational cost management, investment planning and CAPEX justification.
- Strong leadership and change-management capabilities, with the ability to build systems, develop teams and lead an organization through operational transformation.
- Good command of English, with the ability to communicate, present and collaborate effectively with international management, technical teams and overseas business partners.
