Responsibilities

  • Create precise technical drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit BIM and Navisworks.
  • Develop, update, and maintain BIM models using Revit throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Use Navisworks for model coordination, clash detection, and design review.
  • Convert hand sketches, verbal instructions, and design concepts into accurate Revit BIM models and technical drawings.
  • Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation using Revit BIM.
  • Revise BIM models and drawings according to design changes or requirements from the engineering and project teams.
  • Coordinate BIM models across different disciplines and identify potential design conflicts using Navisworks.
  • Ensure all BIM models and drawings comply with project specifications, required standards, and codes.
  • Review BIM models and designs for accuracy, completeness, and coordination.
  • Assist in preparing project documentation and reports related to designs and materials.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to gather information and verify design accuracy.
  • Assist in developing and improving BIM standards, workflows, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other teams to ensure timely completion of BIM deliverables.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Revit BIM, Navisworks, BIM technology, and 3D modelling tools.

    • Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
    • Min. 3+ years of experience as a CAD Draughtsman or in a similar drafting role.
    • Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit BIM.
    • Solid technical drawing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good understanding of engineering design, construction, and architectural drafting principles.
    • Ability to interpret and work with complex technical drawings and specifications.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with different teams.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
    • Knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and engineering principles.
    • Familiarity with 3D modelling and rendering techniques and visualization tools.
    • Ability to manage several projects and coordinate with multiple teams simultaneously.
