Responsibilities
- Explore new distribution channels and expand existing market base.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and branches.
- Assess and underwrite Property & Engineering risks in accordance with company guidelines.
- Rate/underwrite assigned accounts, ensuring that the company selects proper risk and achieves target levels of profitability.
- Provide good quality policy products delivered to the client accurately and in a timely.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing.
- Provide technical support and training for junior staff when required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal underwriting standards.
- Assist AVP Underwriting /Manager in ensuring compliance and adherence to the underwriting guidelines and service standards of the company.
- Initiating, designing new products and developing existing products for marketing.
- Perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in any field, Insurance-related certifications will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Property & Engineering underwriting or marketing.
- Excellent of reading, writing and speaking English.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
