Responsibilities
**6-day work week (Monday – Saturday)
- Supervise and monitor the work of laboratory assistants to ensure efficient and accurate testing.
- Review and approve test results prior to reporting to ensure their accuracy, reliability, and compliance with established acceptance criteria.
- Distribute test reports to customers and relevant internal departments within agreed turnaround times.
- Coordinate and evaluate Proficiency Testing (PT) and Inter -Laboratory Comparison (ILC) activities.
- Supervise the review of service contracts and provide appropriate technical guidance and recommendations to customers regarding testing services.
- Manage and control laboratory equipments, including calibration, verification and maintenance, to ensure that equipments are fit for purpose and traceably calibrated.
- Develop, review and revise laboratory documents to ensure they are suitability for use.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with the laboratory quality management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Develop and support the competency and performance of laboratory personnel through coaching, training, and continuous feedback.
- Perform other duties and special assignment as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
Qualifications
- Female, Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
- At least 5 years of experience in analytical testing laboratory, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisor role.
- Good knowledge and practical experience in ISO/IEC 17025 : 2017 requirements, preferably with experience as a Technical Manager.
- Good knowledge of analytical chemistry, laboratory statistics and analytical instruments (e.g. ICP-OES, UV-Vis).
- Good leadership, decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Analytical and continuous improvement mindset with rigorous attention to detail and data integrity.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities.
- Good Command of English, particularly in reading and understanding international standards and scientific literature.
