Job Description

 

As the VP, Bancassurance Products, you will lead the strategic development, management, and enhancement of bancassurance product offerings to drive growth and profitability for UOB (Thai) Public Company Limited.

 

Job Responsibilities:**

 

* Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle management for all bancassurance products, from conceptualization and development to launch, monitoring, and eventual retirement.

* Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities for new product development and existing product enhancements.

* Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies aligned with the bank's overall business objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.

* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, operations, legal, compliance, and risk, to ensure seamless product development, launch, and ongoing management.

* Negotiate and manage relationships with external insurance partners, ensuring optimal terms and conditions for product offerings.

* Define product specifications, pricing strategies, and distribution channels to maximize product adoption and revenue generation.

* Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations.

* Ensure all bancassurance products comply with relevant regulatory frameworks, internal policies, and ethical standards.

* Drive product innovation by exploring new technologies, digital solutions, and customer engagement models.

* Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of product specialists, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

 

Job Qualifications:**

 

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management within the bancassurance or insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

* Deep understanding of bancassurance products, including life, health, and general insurance, and their distribution through banking channels.

* Proven track record of successfully developing, launching, and managing profitable financial products.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, financial models, and customer insights.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

* Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards governing bancassurance products in Thailand.

* Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and a results-oriented approach.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

* Proficiency in English and Thai (both written and spoken) is essential.
