Responsibilities
- Receive product development plans from the supervisor and translate them into actionable product development strategies (including regulatory research, competitor analysis, and goal setting).
- Conduct product development according to the approved plan; monitor progress and implement improvements to achieve targets.
- Conduct and monitor shelf-life studies for newly developed products.
- Research market trends and consumer demands; propose and develop innovative product concepts.
- Study and improve production processes, work procedures, and machinery to enhance production capacity and product quality.
- Develop, control, and maintain product formulations; prepare and control seasoning stock for production use.
- Coordinate and prepare product samples to support the sales team.
- Collaborate with Production and Quality Control teams to scale up products from laboratory trials to commercial production and monitor results.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Quality Assurance teams on packaging development and product standards.
- Ensure compliance with GHP, HACCP, BRC, labor regulations, workplace safety, and food safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
- Age between 27–40 years.
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in food product development, especially in chocolate or confectionery products.
- Background or specialization in Chocolate Science is highly preferred.
- Experience in laboratory work, including product formulation and testing.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in chocolate coating and panning processes.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
