Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing activities of our organization, ensuring that we acquire high-quality goods and services at the best possible prices while adhering to company policies and procedures. The Procurement Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with company objectives and budgetary constraints.
• Identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products/services.
• Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contract terms, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance and support throughout the procurement process.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
• Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure consistency, transparency, and accountability.
• Analyze procurement data and generate reports to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and support the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite ,SAP, ERP.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
