Job Summary:
Responsible for evaluating and assessing credit card applications to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves analyzing financial documents, credit histories, and risk factors to make informed decisions on credit card approvals. The underwriter must possess strong knowledge of credit card products, BOT (Bank of Thailand) regulations, and demonstrate proficiency in document verification and financial analysis. Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work flexibly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support credit card project development:
• Prepare requirement for system development, test case setting and UAT implementation.
• Set up UW related policies, manuals and procedure.
• Support any regulatory required documents.
2. Evaluate Creditworthiness of Applicants: Analyze financial documents, income statements, credit bureau reports, and other relevant data to assess applicants’ ability to repay.
3. Make Approval Decisions: Approve or decline credit card applications based on established underwriting policies and risk assessment criteria.
4. Coordinate with Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with sales, customer service, legal, compliance, and related teams to ensure smooth application processing and adherence to internal guidelines.
5. Enhance Underwriting Processes: Review and improve underwriting workflows and decision-making tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
6. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, including data privacy and anti-money laundering standards.
