Role Overview
We are seeking a Ph.D.-level Protein Conjugation Scientist to lead our antibody–fluorophore conjugation efforts. This is a key scientific role, central to ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our diagnostic products. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in bioconjugation chemistry and protein purification, and will drive the design, execution, and optimization of conjugation workflows in our Bangkok R&D laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and lead conjugation strategies: Independently plan and execute antibody and protein labeling with fluorescent dyes (e.g., Atto, Alexa, or other advanced markers) using chemistries such as NHS-ester (amine reactive), thiol–maleimide, and click chemistry.
2. Develop and optimize protocols: Establish best practices for conjugation efficiency, reproducibility, and long-term stability of conjugates.
3. Purification & characterization: Apply advanced purification methods, including affinity chromatography, SEC, and ion-exchange, with expertise in FPLC operation and troubleshooting. Characterize conjugates using spectrophotometry, fluorimetry, SDS-PAGE, and analytical chromatography.
4. Scientific interpretation: Evaluate the optical and photophysical properties of dyes to guide conjugate design and product integration.
5. Documentation & compliance: Maintain rigorous experimental documentation aligned with ISO standards. Prepare technical reports and contribute to scientific publications or patent filings when applicable.
6. Collaboration & leadership: Act as the subject-matter expert for conjugation chemistry. Mentor junior scientists and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (imaging, diagnostics, and quality). Provide consultation to international partners when needed.
