Responsibilities

Sales Engineer – Chonburi, Thailand

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to join our team in Chonburi. The role bridges technical expertise with customer engagement, focusing on Food industrial clients in the Eastern Seaboard (Chonburi, Rayong, Laem Chabang, Amata Nakorn). The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining client relationships, and providing technical solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

You will play an important role in the following areas:

• Sales & Business Development:

o Identify and establish new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

o Responsible for sales of products & services and fabrication systems to new customers.

o Staying up to date with strategic plans and processes to align market strategies.

o Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

• Customer Engagement:

o Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing technical advice, and support before and after sales.

o Understand the needs of key accounts to propose relevant solutions based on their specific requirements.

• Technical Presentation:

o Deliver product demonstrations, systems/products design selections, and explain technical aspects in a clear, accessible manner.

• Work on Proposals:

o Costing, quotations, engage in negotiation and execution of purchase orders from customers.

o Prepare project proposals incorporating the solutions offering, pricing, payment and relevant commercial terms.

• Market Research:

o Analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies.

o Awareness of product & service marketability, customers’ technical and manufacturing needs as well as local government regulations.

• Collaboration:

o Work closely with engineering solutions and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

o Manage relationships with existing customers while developing new business opportunities.

• Post-Sales Support:

o Provide training, troubleshooting, and recommendations for solutions improvements and ensure customer satisfaction.

o Report on sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.



Requirements

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, we will require:

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable education in related field.

• 2-5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in Automation System and Project Sales management.

• Good working knowledge of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC, Servo Drive programming and Automation Systems.

• Ability to succeed in an environment of continuous improvements and stretched targets.

• Good influencing, negotiation and selling skills and the ability to maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.

• Able to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, persuasive manner.

• Possess analytical skills to assess customer needs and propose solutions.


• Must be proactive, multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Independent with strong sense of responsibility and initiatives.


• Mature disposition, enthusiastic, a team player and the ability to work under pressure.


• Willingness for frequent domestic and international business travel as needed.

• Good command of English, both spoken and written.

• Possess own vehicle and valid driving license.

Preferred Experience

• Sales experience in Automation System, Mechanical machine tools, or Food industrial equipment/Machine.

• Familiarity with industrial estates in Chonburi (e.g., Amata Nakorn, Laem Chabang, Sriracha).

• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Work Conditions

• Location: Chonburi, Thailand (with travel to client sites).

• Working hours: 8:30 – 17:30 (Mon-Fri), Saturday is required for necessary.
