Responsibilities

Maintaining and troubleshooting factory computer systems and networks, including servers, workstations, and other hardware.
Managing software applications and databases used by the factory, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Working with other departments to understand their technology needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.
Ensuring data security and privacy, implementing backup and recovery procedures, and monitoring system performance.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining factory equipment that is connected to the network, such as barcode scanners, RFID readers, and other IoT devices.
Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and making recommendations for technology upgrades and improvements.
Managing software licenses and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
Training factory employees on how to use technology tools and systems.
Collaborating with vendors and external service providers to resolve technical issues and implement new solutions.
Participating in the development and execution of the factory's overall technology strategy.

Requirements

Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in areas such as networking, server administration, database management, and programming are essential for this role. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP)
Problem-solving skills: The ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems quickly and efficiently
Communication skills: Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with various teams within the factory and to train employees on the use of technology tools and systems
Attention to detail: Attention to detail is important for managing and maintaining complex systems and ensuring data accuracy
