Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Junior Baker to support our daily bread and pastry production. This is a hands-on, learning-focused role perfect for someone with a strong interest in artisan baking. You’ll work closely with senior bakers, learning techniques for both bread and pastry, and contribute to a variety of high-quality baked goods served in our outlet(s).

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support

• Assist in the preparation of bread and pastry items: scaling, mixing, shaping, proofing, baking

• Support the team with daily mise en place and setup for production

• Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency

• Help with sourdough starter maintenance, dough shaping, and lamination tasks as trained

Quality & Hygiene

• Ensure cleanliness of the bakery area, equipment, and tools

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

• Assist in proper storage and labeling of ingredients and products

• Help maintain freshness and quality control across all items

Learning & Development

• Learn artisan bread-making techniques including fermentation, scoring, and baking

• Develop skills in pastry production, from simple batters to laminated dough

• Receive training on recipe execution, baking theory, and production timing

• Take feedback positively and show initiative in improving skills

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or culinary school (fresh graduates also welcome)

• Passionate about baking and eager to learn both bread and pastry techniques

• Able to work early mornings, weekends, and in a physically demanding environment

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety

• Fluent in Thai; basic English is a plus for recipe understanding and communication

• Positive attitude, team player, and willing to take initiative

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Some experience with sourdough

• Culinary school background or baking certification

• Interest in artisanal or small-batch baking methods

• Willingness to contribute ideas and seasonal inspirations
