Job Purpose:
Global Markets Operation is responsible for ensuring accuracy and timely processing, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation of treasury transactions. This role ensures that all treasury operations comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transaction Processing & Settlement
• Confirm and process treasury transactions (FX, money market, derivatives, bonds, swaps, etc.).
• Validate and ensure transactions are correctly input via treasury system and/or core banking systems.
• Ensure timely settlement of trades with counterparties and custodians.
2. Reconciliation & Controls
• Monitor and reconcile nostro/vostro accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and regulatory requirements.
3. Documentation & Confirmations
• Prepare and verify deal confirmations and ensure proper documentation is in place.
• Communicate with counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders for confirmations and settlement issues.
• Maintain proper records and audit trails for all transactions.
4. Reporting & Compliance
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports.
• Support regulatory reporting and internal audits.
• Monitor compliance with treasury policies, counterparty limits, and operational risk management.
Technical Skills & Behavioral Skills:
• Ability to handle a wide range of Global Markets operation products and services
• Strong attention to details and accuracy
• Proficiency with treasury systems (TMS) and other financial software
• Knowledge of financial instruments, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
• Problem-solving skills to resolve transaction discrepancies.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with other departments and external parties
• Able to prioritize tasks, multitask, and perform well under time constraints
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude
