Mega Lifesciences is looking for an Information Security Director to work closely with the Chief Information Officer in a fast-paced environment that will offer ample opportunities to learn and expand your experience and expertise.
Job Summary
As an Information Security Director, your key tasks include:
A. Strategic Leadership & Governance
• Define and execute a global cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational goals and future scalability.
• Establish enterprise-wide policies, standards, and minimum baselines (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
• Govern cybersecurity risk through KPIs/KRIs, internal audits, and Board-level reporting.
• Lead cross-functional engagement to embed security by design across all digital and business initiatives.
• Oversee alignment with privacy requirements (PDPA/GDPR) in collaboration with the DPO.
B. Technical Oversight
• Provide executive oversight for secure architecture across IT, cloud, applications, and manufacturing environments (OT).
• Drive adoption of Zero Trust principles across identity, access, network, and data layers.
• Approve major cloud and infrastructure security designs while delegating technical execution to teams.
• Ensure network diagrams, architecture documentation, and IT/OT asset inventories remain accurate and governed.
• Oversee implementation of core security controls (IAM/PAM, data protection, cloud baselines). architectures
• aligned to FDA/industry OT security guidance.
• Ensure segmentation between IT and OT, with defensible architectures aligned to FDA/industry OT security guidance.
C. Security Operations & Incident Response
• Lead SOC capability development including SIEM, monitoring, threat hunting, and detection maturity.
• Govern enterprise Incident Response (IR) strategy with playbooks, escalation paths, and executive comms.
• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and cyber crisis simulations.
• Ensure organizational resilience through backup governance, immutable storage, DR/BCP cyber scenarios, and recovery readiness.
D. People Development & Cyber Awareness
• Build a scalable cybersecurity organization across cloud, IT/OT security, and SOC functions.
• Sponsor cybersecurity awareness programs for executives, employees, and technical teams.
• Champion a security-first culture across the enterprise.
Applications are invited from interested candidates who meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; a Master’s degree with a focus on business risk is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity leadership, including 5+ years in a global organization.
• Proven experience in Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or FMCG environments is a significant advantage.
• Strong familiarity with PDPA/GDPR and ISO 27001; knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.
• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCISO, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty; Microsoft Security Operations Analyst) are desirable.
• Proficiency in the English language.
Skills & Knowledge
The ideal candidate must have an execution-first mindset with hands-on mastery across SOC/MDR, SIEM, EDR/IDS/IPS, DLP, encryption, and cloud security; the ability to architect and govern Zero Trust across identity (IAM/SSO/PAM), network, data, and endpoints; and the discipline to translate ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls into lean policies, measurable controls, and meaningful KPIs. They influence at every level, brief executives with clear, decision-ready insights, steer vendors and MSSPs to outcomes and value, and scale a high-performing team—balancing risk, cost, and operations while maintaining integrity, accountability, and resilience under pressure.
