Purchasing Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and control the procurement process for raw materials (e.g., steel, plastic resins, molding materials), automotive components, tools, and services to ensure quality, standard compliance, and on-time delivery (OTD) to support the production schedule.
2. Lead negotiations with key local and overseas suppliers to achieve the best possible pricing (Cost Saving), favorable agreements, and optimal payment terms.
3. Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with company policies and corporate goals for quality and cost efficiency.
4. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance (Supplier Performance Evaluation) to maintain and develop a high-quality supplier base.
5. Oversee and ensure accurate issuance of Purchase Orders (PO) and compliance with company procedures and regulations.
6. Execute Supply Chain Risk Management to mitigate issues such as material shortages, price volatility, or quality failures from partners.
7. Collaborate closely with the Engineering and Quality Control (QC) departments for sourcing new parts or materials for New Projects and mold development.
8. Prepare detailed Cost Analysis Reports and Cost Saving Reports for presentation to the management.
9. Manage and develop the purchasing team to enhance their potential and understanding of the manufacturing business.
10. Ensure the accuracy of procurement documentation and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

1. Specific Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience as a Purchasing Manager/Head in the "Automotive Components" or "Plastic Injection Mold (Molding / Die-Casting)" industry. (Experience in procuring steel for mold making is highly preferred.)
2. Negotiation Skills: A "Result-Driven Negotiator" proficient in handling international sourcing, executing complex business negotiations with foreign suppliers, and with a proven track record of achieving significant Cost Reduction.
3. Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English (Written and Verbal Communication) (Must be able to conduct business negotiations fluently with international suppliers).
4. Technical Knowledge: Possesses a foundational understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., Injection Molding Process, Stamping Process, or Material Science) to effectively evaluate the cost and quality of components.
5. Visionary: Capable of analyzing market trends and developing strategic sourcing plans to support the company's growth and expansion within the automotive sector.
6. Leadership: Strong leadership presence and proven experience in managing and developing a highly efficient and motivated purchasing team.
7. Integrity: High level of honesty, ethical conduct in the workplace, and a strong commitment to achieving challenging goals under pressure.
