Purchasing Engineer Team Overview
Our Purchasing Team is structured into specialized sub-groups based on engineering disciplines. You will be assigned to a category that aligns with your academic background and expertise.
Mechanical: Procurement of mechanical equipment for power plants such as piping, boilers, turbines, spare parts, and related items.
Electrical: Procurement of electrical equipment such as wires, MDB, inverters, solar cells, and other electrical components.
Civil: Procurement of construction materials such as bricks, stone, cement, sand, posts, as well as engaging construction contractors and arranging rentals for cranes, trucks, and heavy machinery.
General: Procurement of instruments, office supplies, stationery, laptops, computers, and coordination with vendors for office equipment repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities :
- Source and procure spare parts and materials across mechanical, civil, and general engineering scopes for solar power plants and other energy facilities.
- Monitor material consumption, plan procurement activities, consolidate PRs, analyze spending, and manage supply sourcing.
- Coordinate with project owners, vendors, and finance teams to ensure procurement alignment with project requirements.
- Manage vendor qualification, verify licenses and certifications, evaluate performance, and monitor compliance including blacklist control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- 1–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
