The Junior Account General Officer plays an important role in maintaining accurate and complete accounting records, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. This position contributes to the efficiency, transparency, and accuracy of the company’s accounting operations in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and reconcile subsidiary accounts to prepare consolidated reports for submission to the head office.
- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements accurately and within deadlines.
- Perform tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth accounting operations.
- Liaise with international agencies and partners to support accounting and financial activities.
- Monitor and reconcile account balances between internal departments and external vendors.
- Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for accounting and financial records to ensure easy access and audit readiness.
- Support audit processes by preparing required schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with tax laws, accounting regulations, and company financial policies.
- Assist in cash flow management and preparation of cash flow reports as assigned by the CFO.
