Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities 

Helmet and Optical Laboratory Support 


• Assist the Quality Supervisor and Laboratory Technician in conducting helmet, visor, and optical testing in accordance with approved methods, standards, sampling plans, and test schedules. 


• Prepare test samples, test equipment, fixtures, records, and supporting documents before testing. 


• Record test results accurately, identify abnormal results, and immediately report any suspected nonconformity or equipment issue to the responsible person. 


• Support the control, verification, maintenance, and calibration status of laboratory equipment and measuring instruments. 


Quality Monthly Report 


• Collect, verify, consolidate, and analyze quality performance data for the monthly quality report. 


• Report relevant indicators such as incoming defects, in-process defects, final inspection results, customer complaints, laboratory test results, NCR/CAR status, audit findings, rework, scrap, and recurring quality issues. 


• Highlight significant trends, risks, overdue actions, and recommended improvement priorities for management review. 


 


Internal Quality Audit 


• Support the preparation and implementation of the internal audit program for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, company procedures, and applicable customer or regulatory requirements. 


• Participate as an internal auditor when qualified, prepare audit checklists, gather objective evidence, record findings, and issue audit reports. 


• Follow up corrective actions and verify the effectiveness and timely closure of audit findings. 


 


“S” Class Raw Materials 


• Control and monitor “S” Class Raw Materials in accordance with document QC TRS 02 and other applicable quality requirements. 


• Review and coordinate proposed changes relating to design, material grade, specifications, suppliers, manufacturing source, or other critical characteristics. 


• Ensure required evaluations, samples, tests, approvals, and records are completed before implementation of any change. 


• Maintain traceability and communicate approved changes to relevant departments. 


 


Sample Helmets Inspection 


• Inspect sample helmets in accordance with procedure PP SH 01 “Sample Helmet Realization” and applicable drawings, specifications, standards, and approved samples. 


• Verify appearance, dimensions, components, assembly, labeling, packaging, functional performance, and other required characteristics. 


• Record inspection results and coordinate the disposition of any deviation before sample approval or release 


NCR and CAR 


• Raise, register, distribute, monitor, and follow up Nonconformity Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR). 


• Coordinate containment actions, root cause analysis, correction, corrective action, responsible persons, and target completion dates. 


• Review supporting evidence and verify action effectiveness prior to closure, within the authority assigned by the Quality Manager. 


• When the Quality Manager is absent, follow up overdue NCR/CAR items and escalate significant quality risks to the appropriate management representative. 



Incoming, In-Process, and Final Quality Control Support 


• Support inspection and verification activities for incoming materials, production processes, finished products, and packaging as required. 


• Assist in defining or improving inspection criteria, sampling plans, control methods, acceptance limits, and reaction plans. 


• Ensure identified nonconforming materials or products are clearly segregated, identified, and controlled to prevent unintended use or delivery. 


 


 


Quality Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement 


• Participate in quality investigations and improvement projects with Production, IE, CI, Engineering, Purchasing, and other relevant functions. 


• Analyze quality data and recurring defects, identify root causes, recommend corrective or preventive actions, and monitor the effectiveness of implemented actions. 


• Support lessons learned, standardization, error-proofing, process control, and risk reduction activities. 


 


Customer, Supplier, and Third-Party Quality Coordination 


• Provide quality information and supporting records for customer, supplier, certification body, homologation authority, or third-party requests. 


• Support customer complaint investigations, supplier quality concerns, product audits, external audits, and follow-up actions as assigned. 


• Maintain professional, accurate, and timely communication on quality matters. 


 


General Responsibilities 


• Comply with company policies, quality procedures, environmental requirements, safety rules, confidentiality requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. 


• Maintain complete, accurate, legible, and traceable quality records. 


• Immediately report any product safety, regulatory, customer, environmental, or major quality risk to the Quality Manager. 


• Perform other duties and quality-related functions assigned by the Quality Manager. 


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Engineering, or another relevant discipline. 


• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, manufacturing quality, product testing, laboratory activities, or a related function. 


• Working knowledge of quality management systems and environmental management systems, particularly ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Internal auditor experience is preferred. 


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, control drawings, product specifications, inspection standards, work instructions, and technical test requirements. 


• Computer literacy, including effective use of Microsoft Office applications and quality-related databases or reporting systems. 


• Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to prepare reports, communicate technical issues, and coordinate with internal and external parties. 


• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, coordination, and follow-up skills. 


• Detail-oriented, systematic, responsible, and able to work objectively when handling product conformity, nonconformities, and corrective actions. 


• Knowledge of statistical quality tools, root cause analysis, risk-based thinking, and problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, 8D, or equivalent methods is an advantage.

What you will do
Job Summary

In this Senior QA Engineer role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing product and process quality standards. You will support helmet, visor, and optical testing in the laboratory, preparing samples, recording results, and ensuring equipment control. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and consolidating quality performance data for monthly reports, highlighting key trends and risks for management review. Your responsibilities will also include supporting internal quality audit programs for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, participating as an auditor, and following up on corrective actions. You will control and monitor “S” Class Raw Materials, inspect sample helmets, and manage Nonconformity Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR) by coordinating root cause analysis and verifying action effectiveness. Furthermore, you will support quality control activities for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and actively participate in quality problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
