Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team on civil and structural design and implementation.
- Review and evaluate engineering plans, drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to coordinate design and construction activities.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and address any arising issues.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, proposals, and other project documentation.
- Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Stay informed of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Candidates with degrees in other engineering disciplines will only be considered if they also hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in civil and/or structural engineering.
- Thorough understanding of civil/structural engineering principles, design standards, applicable codes, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, BIM (e.g., Revit), and structural analysis software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with project management principles, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
