SALARY: Starting from TH฿ 673,146 per annum
WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week

BASIC FUNCTIONS REQUIRED:
Provide integrated financial management services on Budgeting & Accounting for all Department of State entities of Embassy Bangkok and Consulate Chiang Mai including State/Program, State/International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS-for 73 member agencies), State/Office of Building Operations (OBO), State/Diplomatic Security (DS), State/Public Affairs (PA), State/Consular Affairs (CA), Representation (REP) and other allotments as assigned. The incumbent is responsible for budget formulation and justification, accounting, and the operational effectiveness of the Embassy’s financial resources. Responsible for Post’s operation of the resource allocation and integration. Provide guidance on interpreting U.S. laws and regulations regarding financial matters.
Provide allotment accounting services for Foreign Agriculture Service (FAS), Office of Capacity Building and Development
(FAS/OCBD), Foreign Commercial Services (FCS), U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), USDA, Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEAS), Bureau for Refugee Programs (RMA), USAGM-Marketing; USAGM-Transmitting Stations (UDORN), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA/DAO), Forward Support Base Asia-Pacific (FSB), DOJ/Office of International affairs (OIA), Post Language Program and Antiterrorism Assistance Program (ATA) and other allotments as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
(1) Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is required.
(2) Experience: A minimum of four years progressive experience in accounting, budgeting or financial planning in a governmental or international organization or financial institutes is required.
(3) Language: (This may be tested)
- Fluent of English and Thai (speaking/reading/writing) is required.
- Please clarify level of your THAI and ENGLISH language skills.
- You are required to pass the English Placement Test (EPT) that is conducted by the Regional Human Resources Office, or submit a copy of valid TOEIC score (Listening and Reading Section) of at least 855 with your application.
(4) Skills: (This may be tested)
- Must be able to use an automated accounting system. Experienced using Microsoft Office Applications (EXCEL, WORD, PowerPoint).
(5) Knowledge: (This may be tested)
- Knowledge of management controls, public funds accounting, and the federal budget process.
