BASIC FUNCTIONS REQUIRED:
The Residential Security Technician (RST) works under the supervision of the Assistant Regional Security Officer (ARSO) responsible for residential security. The RST assists the ARSO in ensuring residential security hardware, panic alarms at the Chief of Mission Residence (CMR), and other security equipment (grills/solid wood doors) are properly installed and functioning. The RST is responsible for repairing and servicing all electronic systems for the CMR. RST oversees the issuance and control of physical hardware at the residences and are responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of all residential security hardware needed for residential security upgrades. The RST installs and removes digital deadbolts in all U.S. government owned housing. The RST will assist the Residential Security Coordinator (RSC) to ensure all residential security surveys are complete and meet residential security standards.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
(1) Education: Completion of two years of college or university studies is required.
(2) Experience:
• Minimum of one year’s hands-on field experience in major repairs and installation of physical security systems, including mechanical systems, CCTV, alarm systems, electrical systems, locks, and doors is required.
• Minimum of six months of office administrative experience is required. All required experiences can overlap.
(3) Language: (This may be tested.)
• Good working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of Thai is required.
• Good working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of English is required. You can submit a copy of valid TOEIC score (Listening and Reading Section) of at least 600, or pass the English Placement Test (EPT) that is conducted by the Human Resources Office.
(4) Skills: (This may be tested.)
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing is required.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, and other basic computer skills are required.
• Must hold a valid Thai driver’s license for at least 5 years.
