Power Plant Operator - US Embassy Bangkok

SALARY: Starting from TH฿ 398,127 per annum
WORK HOURS: 40 hours per week

BASIC FUNCTIONS REQUIRED: 

Perform duties and shift work involved in routine operation, maintenance & repair and overhaul for building equipment, machines, and components associated with power supply, fire detection and prevention, central air conditioning, water treatment, and flood control system of the utility plants. The position is supervised by Engineering Assistant or Maintenance Supervisor. The Facilities Management Office is a 24/7 operation, and this position may be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays. 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

(1) Education: Completion of college or university studies (At least two years of full time, post-secondary study at college or university) is required. For example, high vocational school, or junior college. 
(2) Experience: A minimum of two years’ direct experience in maintenance, repair, and installation of A/C and electrical trade is required. 
(3) Language: (This may be tested.)
• Limited knowledge(Reading/Writing/Speaking) of Thai is required. 
• Limited knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of English is required. You can submit a copy of valid TOEIC score (Listening and Reading Section) of at least 400, or pass the English Placement Test (EPT) that is conducted by the Human Resources Office. 
(4) Skills: (This may be tested.)
• Must have a valid, current local driver’s license for private car is required. Incumbent must be at least 25 years old and have been holding a driver's license for a minimum of five years is required.  Please submit a driver's license with your application.
• Must have ability and intellect to learn new technology.
• Must have ability to operate various hand tools, power equipment, and instruments.
• Must have ability to use computer.
(5) Knowledge:  (This may be tested.)
• An advanced knowledge in plant operations is required.
