Responsibilities
1. Strategic Communications Leadership
Work closely with the Head of School and Principals to shape and deliver a proactive communications strategy for SBS Rangsit.
Translating school strategy into clear internal, parent-facing, and community-facing messages
Identifying key communication priorities for each term
Building a strong pipeline of communications content that reinforces strategic objectives
Identifying communication gaps, risks, and missed opportunities
Advising on message clarity, timing, tone, audience, and channel selection
Ensuring communications are proactive, not merely reactive
Helping leadership make the school’s strengths, learning culture, and community life more visible
Ensuring communications support parent trust, staff alignment, retention, admissions confidence, and school reputation
Act as a trusted communications partner to the Head of School, Principals, and school management team.
Supporting leadership communications to staff, parents, and the parent community
Preparing key messages, talking points, scripts, presentations, FAQs, and briefing notes
Coaching or advising school leaders on communication effectiveness where appropriate
Helping leaders communicate with clarity, warmth, confidence, and strategic intent
Anticipating parent questions, concerns, and possible misunderstandings
Respectfully challenging unclear or cluttered messaging
Helping leaders turn complex academic or operational updates into parent-friendly communication
3. Internal Alignment Communications
Create communications materials that help align internal stakeholders, including teachers, academic teams, school management, and operational teams.

4. Parent and Parent Community CommunicationsDevelop clear, engaging, bilingual communications for parents and the parent community.

The role should help SBS Rangsit move away from over-reliance on long emails and newsletters by creating more accessible, visual, video-led, and relationship-based communication formats.
5. Schoolwide Content Pipeline and StorytellingProactively identify and develop meaningful stories from across the school.
Academic learning and curriculum development
Bilingual learning in action
Early Years, Primary, and Secondary highlights
Classroom practice and learning snapshots
Student achievements and student spotlights
Sports, ECAs, arts, music, performances, competitions, trips, and events
Academic results, assessment progress, and learning milestones where appropriate
Teacher practice and professional learning
Parent community engagement
School values, culture, and community life
The role should help SBS Rangsit move from simply reporting activities to communicating meaning: what students are learning, why it matters, and how it reflects the school’s values and strategic direction.
6. Strategic Content Extraction: From Clutter to ClarityThe successful candidate must be able to extract clarity from complexity.
Listening to long or complex discussions and identifying the key message
Turning raw updates from teachers or leaders into clear communication points
Extracting parent-relevant meaning from academic, operational, or event-based information
Identifying which details matter and which can be removed
Reframing activity updates into strategic stories
Creating concise summaries, talking points, slides, captions, scripts, and parent messages
Helping leaders and teachers communicate with more focus and impact
7. Presentations and Visual Communication
Create polished, strategic presentations for internal and parent-facing audiences.
The candidate must be able to develop presentations for:
Head of School updates
Principal briefings
Teacher and staff alignment
School management meetings
Parent meetings
Parent representative forums
Community engagement sessions
Admissions or prospective parent events where appropriate
Internal AOI updates where needed
Strong PowerPoint skills are essential. The person must be able to structure a message, build a clear narrative, design clean slides, and adapt the tone for different audiences.

Fluent written and spoken English and Thai
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in communications, school communications, content strategy, marketing, journalism, community engagement, or a related field
Strong writing and editing skills in both English and Thai
Proven ability to create clear, engaging, audience-specific communications
Strong PowerPoint and presentation design skills
Practical graphic design capability
Strong aesthetic judgement and intuitive design sense
Experience creating, directing, or coordinating video content
Ability to brief photographers, videographers, and graphic designers
Strong project management and deadline management skills
Ability to work closely with senior leaders and academic teams
Confidence engaging with parents and parent representatives
Strong judgement, discretion, and emotional intelligence
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Previous experience in a school, university, education group, or family-facing organisation
Experience working in an international or bilingual school environment
Understanding of Cambridge, bilingual, or international education pathways
Experience supporting internal communications, parent communications, or school community engagement
Experience creating parent presentations, staff alignment decks, or leadership communication materials
Photography, videography, or basic video editing skills
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Keynote, Google Slides, or similar tools
Experience supporting parent briefings, open days, admissions events, or school campaigns
Experience working with community groups or parent representatives

The role will advise on communication strategy and prepare key messages, but final approval for strategic or sensitive communications will rest with the Head of School.
The role may brief and coordinate school-based photographers, videographers, and graphic designers for internal and parent-facing communications, while aligning larger external-facing materials with AOI brand and marketing teams.
