Responsibilities
• Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace.
• Inspect equipment for unsafe workplace conditions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and take preventative measures for further incidents.
• Recommend solutions, improvements, and preventative measures for safety issues.
• Works with the safety team members to make sure that all safety objectives prioritized.
• Creates a culture of continuous improvement.
• Prepare and lead environmental health and safety training programs.
• Maintain good relationships and manage internal safety objectives with 3rd party.
• Perform daily safety checks and submit a report to the head of internal safety programs.
• Conduct regular and formal site audits and inspections in accordance with the Safety Management System guidelines.
• Ensure regulatory inspection records are maintained for all activities and plant equipment.
• Organize and lead safety meetings.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Have minimum 3 years' experience in Occupational Health and Safety function for building construction.
• 7+ years of management experience in environmental, health, and safety.
• Have the Safety Officer in Professional Level license (Jor Por.) from Department of Labor Protection and Welfare.
• Knowledgeable of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 quality management systems as well as environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations.
• Good interpersonal skills and a keen awareness of occupational health and safety.
• A strong personality is required to ensure that instructions are followed.
• Able to visit at construction sites.
• Demonstrated training and continuous professional development.
• Good communication skills in English.
