Field Application Specialist – Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) - Bio-Active Co., Ltd

We are seeking a highly sophisticated Field Application Specialist (FAS) to serve as the primary technical bridge between our innovative NGS platform and our prestigious client base. This is not merely a support role; it is a consultative position requiring a blend of deep genomic expertise, commercial acumen, and a passion for empowering researchers. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of our workflows into clinical and academic environments, ensuring our partners achieve unparalleled data quality and breakthrough insights.

1. Strategic Technical Onboarding: Execute end-to-end installation and commissioning of NGS platforms, ensuring bespoke workflow optimisation tailored to specific laboratory requirements.

2. Consultative Training: Design and deliver comprehensive wet-lab and dry-lab training programmes for diverse audiences, ranging from laboratory technicians to Principal Investigators.

3. Advanced Troubleshooting: Act as the definitive subject matter expert (SME) to resolve complex technical challenges, including library preparation nuances, sequencing chemistry deviations, and primary data analysis issues.

4. Product Advocacy & Evolution: Collaborate closely with R&D and Marketing teams by providing "voice-of-customer" insights to influence the roadmap of future genomic solutions.

5. Commercial Synergy: Partner with Account Managers to conduct technical seminars and high-level product demonstrations, effectively articulating the value proposition of our NGS portfolio during the pre-sales phase.

1. Academic Excellence: A Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline is essential.

2. NGS Expertise: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in NGS workflows, including deep familiarity with library preparation (DNA/RNA/Target Enrichment) and various sequencing modalities.

3. Bioinformatics Literacy: Proficiency in interpreting sequencing data and a solid understanding of secondary analysis tools (e.g., variant calling, alignment protocols).

4. Field Experience: Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role (FAS or Applications Scientist) within the Life Sciences industry is highly desirable.
