Responsibilities
- • Review monthly sales forecasts and translate demand forecasts into purchasing plans.
- • Monitor forecast changes and adjust purchasing schedules accordingly to ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- • Work closely with Sales, Category, and Supply Chain teams to understand demand trends and purchasing requirements.
- • Participate in demand planning, forecast review, and inventory review meetings.
- • Analyze forecast accuracy, purchasing trends, and inventory data to support effective procurement decisions.
- • Support inventory optimization by balancing product availability with inventory turnover and stock health.
- • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved purchasing plans.
- • Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery.
- • Monitor inventory levels and support the prevention of stock shortages and overstock.
- • Handle purchasing documents, import-related documents, and supplier correspondence.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, or a related function.
• Experience in FMCG, Distribution, Import, or Retail business will be an advantage.
• Able to communicate with overseas suppliers through email, telephone calls, and online meetings.
• Ability to interpret sales forecasts and convert them into purchasing requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with sales, inventory, and purchasing data. Good negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems or Power BI will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, import procedures, and shipping documents will be an advantage.
