Responsibilities
Scope:
Highly skilled and motivated Technical Support and Field Operations Engineer who can combine a hands-on technical expertise and an excellent problem-solving mindset with strong organizational capabilities to provide advanced support to customers, partners, and internal teams. The responsibilities of this role will include performing and coordinating technical service activities, ensuring effective resolution of complex technical challenges in the field, while maintaining a strong customer-centric approach. This position is designated for expatriates and requires international experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical assistance to both external clients (customers, partners) and internal stakeholders (Field engineers and other team members), across a wide range of service requests, including Installations, Startups, Training (IST), Warranties, Preventive Maintenance, and Equipment Failures/Troubleshooting.
- Field Operations Support: Planning and execution of field activities (directly or through field teams). Ensure technical accuracy, timely resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Issue Resolution & Escalation: Maintain focus on reducing issue resolution time, documenting technical problems, and managing escalation paths as necessary.
- Technology Mastery: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s technology portfolio, including refrigeration systems, compressors, automation systems, IT networks, hydraulic circuits, and PLCs (e.g., Modbus).
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex, interdisciplinary technical problems involving mechanical/thermodynamics, electrical/electronics, control systems, and networked equipment. Conduct field tests and prototype evaluations when required.
- Leadership & Coordination: Supervise and mentor junior field engineers and technicians, translating strategic objectives given by his/her manager into actionable plans. Support scheduling efforts and ensure field work aligns with technical requirements and customer expectations.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrate a proactive and customer-first mindset, going the extra mile to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and customer satisfaction is achieved—even in high-pressure, remote, or challenging environments.
- Project Ownership: Lead critical or complex technical cases, ensuring proper execution and coordination across departments and stakeholders
Qualifications
Education & Knowledge:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (preferred).
- Strong foundation in Mechanical/Thermodynamics, Electrical/Electronics, Automation, Control Systems, and IT Networks.
- Proficiency in interpreting and working with technical documents (P&IDs, layouts, technical drawings, heat & mass balance, I/O diagrams, etc.).
- Deep understanding of physical quantities, especially in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and electrical systems.
- Experience in refrigeration industry is a plus but not a requirement.
