Product Design Engineer/ Sr. Engineer - Magnecomp Precision Technology Public Company Limited

• Collaborate with customer design team and /or internal designer pre-NPI to understand and assess design performance relative to requirements, risks, and DFM. Ensure builds and DVT meet modeled design performance. Make design changes as required.
• Support all suspension line and component qualifications to meet suspension design requirements.
  • Accountable and responsible to analyze and use FEA and process/serialization data to optimize design and make recommendations to process and component teams.
  • Accountable and responsible to review and update prints and specifications as required.

• Accountable and responsible for design, modeling and DVT ownership of all design changes.
• Support FA for resolution and response (design or process change) to drive failures and issues.
  • Accountable and responsible to develop hypothesis using FA data, process line mapping and serialization data to explain physics of the phenomenon and the corresponding solution.
  • Accountable and responsible to define validation actions for hypothesis and solution.

•  Accountable and responsible for print and specs ownership.
  • Collaborate with PE, and customer product and SQE teams, on TGA, HGA and drive resonance and stroke correlation for specification development and refinement throughout the life of the product.
  • Accountable and responsible to sign-off on process ECOs ensuring they support, and are supported by, prints and specs.
• Accountable and responsible to define suspension process limit test KPIV and engage with PE on execution and management.
  • Accountable and responsible to analyze limit test data to update design, refine model, and recommend process changes as required.

• Bachelor/Masters in mechanical engineering, physics or applied mathematics or related fields.

Skills Required:

• Good analysis and problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to work with customers.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering (3D Dynamics/Vibrations, GD&T, and Tolerance Analysis)
• Knowledge/Experience on suspensions and HDDs.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• 2D, 3D AutoCAD and Solid Works.
• Statistics.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods and systems.

Experience: 0-7 years.
