Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
  • Taking care of metrology equipment, including hardware, software, and metrology tooling.
  • Perform and ensure timely correlation and calibration activities, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure measurement systems and metrology equipment meet product specifications and customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up measuring programs and testers according to PCP, engineering drawings, and product requirements.
  • Perform metrology machine maintenance / PM, calibration, and correlation activities.
  • Coordinate fixture ordering, setup, and design with the Tooling Design Department.
  • Conduct correlation, MSA, and GR&R to ensure measurement systems meet customer specifications for both in-process and outgoing inspection.
  • Provide training and instructions to supervisors, technicians, and operators regarding measurement methods and related documents.
  • Improve metrology and measurement system performance to achieve customer requirements.
  • Create and update metrology, calibration, and measurement-related documents.
  • Support Six Sigma, Lean, 5S projects, and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Qualifications

Education Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering field, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Skill Required
  • Good English communication and writing skills.
  • Good computer skills and basic programming knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of Metrology, Measurement Systems, and Calibration Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with metrology equipment and precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of MSA, GR&R, Calibration, Correlation, and measurement system control.
  • Able to select and use appropriate measuring tools based on engineering drawings, product specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T is preferred.
Experience
  • 1–3 years of direct experience in Metrology, Measurement Engineering, Calibration, or a dedicated Metrology function within a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates should have hands-on experience working with metrology equipment and measurement systems as part of their main responsibilities.
