Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
- Apply mechanical design, material properties, and manufacturing process knowledge to design suspension components and shipping trays. Collaborate with suppliers on DFM, design refinement, and production activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and follow testing procedures for component used in disk drive assembly.
- Lead the testing and qualification of the component.
- Collaborate with suppliers to achieve properties, tolerance, and quality of the component.
- Develop the component with suppliers for future design/requirements follow component roadmap.
- Participate in the failure analysis and give recommendations on correction of manufacturing and component performance problems.
- Coordinate and participate in FMEA, DFMEA for all new products.
Qualifications
Education Required:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering field.
Skill Required:
- Experience in suspension, preferred for HDD field.
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks
- GD&T and preferred for Tolerance stack up analysis
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods, preferred for Six Sigma.
Experience:
- 0 - 6 years.
