Responsibilities
• Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify and evaluate new suppliers/vendors (both local and international) to source high-quality and cost-effective GPS and MDVR devices.
• Product Testing (QA/QC): Plan and oversee product testing (Proof of Concept) in both laboratory and field environments to ensure hardware stability and durability under real-world conditions such as vibration and weather.
• Integration Support: Collaborate with the Software and Server teams to integrate device protocols with the company’s platform (DTC Platform).
• Problem Solving: Perform technical analysis and root cause analysis to resolve product issues from real usage or supplier claims.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain product documentation including datasheets, installation manuals, and regulatory documentation for product certification.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields (e.g., Mechatronics, Embedded Systems)
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Hardware, IoT, CCTV, or Telematics industries
• At least 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role
• Direct experience in GPS Tracking devices, MDVR/Dashcam, or Automotive Electronics is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of GPS Tracking systems, including communication modules (4G/LTE/5G/NB-IoT), GNSS accuracy, battery systems, and sensors
• Knowledge of MDVR (Mobile DVR) systems, including AHD/IP cameras, video compression (H.264/H.265), storage (HDD/SSD/SD Card), and AI systems (ADAS/DMS)
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP, RS232, RS485, and CANBus (J1939) for vehicle ECU integration
• Knowledge of local regulatory standards (e.g., NBTC and Department of Land Transport requirements) for product compliance
• Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus
