Responsibilities
1. Client Technical Consultation & Analysis
- Lead technical meetings with clients (Developers/Owners) to capture and analyze project requirements.
- Present VDC workflows and 4D/5D simulations to stakeholders, demonstrating how digital tools will mitigate project risks.
- Translate client needs into a technical VDC Execution Plan (VXP).
2. Team Guidance & Modeling Oversight
- Supervise and provide technical direction to the BIM Modeling team.
- Ensure all models are engineered for constructability, focusing on coordination and data accuracy.
- Conduct Model Audits and quality control checks to ensure compliance with project standards and LOD requirements.
3. Advanced Coordination & VDC Execution
- Lead the Clash Detection and BIM Coordination process, facilitating resolution between MEP, Structural, and Architectural disciplines.
- Integrate 4D (Time/Schedule) and 5D (Cost) data into the virtual environment to support project management.
- Utilize VDC tools to perform quantity take-offs and site logistics planning.
4. Performance Reporting
- Generate clear, data-driven reports for clients showing the progress of the digital build and any unresolved coordination issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of the modeling team.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 3–5+ years in BIM roles with a strong background in Construction Engineering. Experience in a Project Lead or Senior Coordinator capacity is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks. Experience with BIM 360/ACC, Synchro 4D, or Solibri is a major plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to read blueprints and identify engineering conflicts within a virtual environment.
Soft Skills: Professional presentation skills with the ability to build trust with clients and lead a Technical team.
