Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all cost control and cost accounting functions for the manufacturing operations.
• Monitor, analyze, and report manufacturing costs, including raw materials, packaging materials, labor, and overhead costs.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and investigate significant deviations from standard costs, budgets, and forecasts.
• Develop, maintain, and review standard costing systems to ensure accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
• Analyze Bills of Materials (BOM), production yields, waste, and efficiency indicators to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, and Commercial teams to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.
• Monitor inventory movements, stock accuracy, inventory valuation, and inventory turnover.
• Coordinate and supervise physical inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring proper reconciliation and reporting.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, management reports, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning processes.
• Review and strengthen internal controls related to costing, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization across the organization.
• Lead and develop the Cost Control team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Cost reduction activities.
Qualifications
Necessary Skill / Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Accounting and finance from any manufacturing.
• Must have experience in cost control and cost planning accounting.
• Must have experience working in a Japanese manufacturing company
• Hands-on experience with Accounting ERP systems, such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), NetSuite, or equivalent platforms.
• Conversational middle - high level of English (Report directly to JP Director *Interview in English)
• Management experience as Supervisor or having subordinates.

Workplace Area: Amata City Industrial Estate
Working Hour: 8:00-17:00 (Monday – Friday Saturday working: 1-2 Sat per month)
