Responsibilities
Cost Analysis & Control
- Prepare standard cost calculations for new and existing automotive parts (plastic, metal, chrome, interior, exterior).
- Analyze actual production costs versus standard costs; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
Product Development Support
- Work with engineering and project teams to provide cost estimates during RFQ (Request for Quotation) and new product development stages.
- Support management in pricing decisions by providing accurate cost breakdowns.
Reporting & Monitoring
- Prepare monthly costing reports, variance analysis, and profitability reports for management review.
- Track BOM (Bill of Materials), production processes, and inventory movement to ensure correct cost allocations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with procurement on material cost updates and supplier quotations.
- Collaborate with production and engineering to review process changes and their impact on cost.
- Assist auditors (internal and external) with costing-related documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years in costing, preferably in automotive or manufacturing industries.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of cost accounting, BOM, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
- Languages: English proficiency
