Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the product development cycle including, but not limited to: 
    -Graphic design: design of packing materials and vehicle decorations;
    -Sample making: production sample making for customer and licensor approval;
    -Manufacturing cost estimations and calculations;
• Coordinating product development processes with the product management in our Germany and Hong Kong offices;
• Preparing and maintaining the project schedule for development of new items to ensure timely and proper preparation before mass production;
• Coordinate the development of special items for our international customers;
• Driving standardization of processes, work instructions, and best practices across the factory;
• Supervising sample making processes to achieve customer and licensor approval while maintaining realistic mass production quality standards;
• Accurately estimate production parameters and calculate manufacturing costs for new production introductions; 
• Closely collaborate with the production, procurement and QC teams to guarantee accurate and conscientious preparation of new products and optimization for mass production.
• Management and development of the product development team, including training and employee motivation;
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards to maintain an accident-free workplace;
• Budget responsibility and cost control in the product development department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Graphic Design or a related field;
• Ideally with European educational or work experience background;
• Excellent English, presentation and communication skills;
• At least 10 years’ experience in product development, ideally in a similar industry (toys, jewelry);
• Leadership skills to manage and motivate 15+ employees in the team;
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking;
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, KeyShot (3D rendering) and/or SolidWorks is a plus;
• Good computer skills (MS Office, Project management).
