Responsibilities
Chacha Thai is a growing, a Thailand based global producer and marketer of organic rice noodles and organic super foods food manufacturing company specializing in the production of noodles, snacks, and packaged food products for domestic and export markets. We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accounts Manager with strong experience in manufacturing finance and cost accounting to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial controls, and factory-related financial management.
Position Summary
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cost monitoring, inventory valuation, statutory compliance, and robust internal controls. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/FMCG, and possess deep understanding of production costing, raw material accounting, inventory reconciliation, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Flow, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Thai accounting standards.
- Ensure timely closing of accounts and accurate reporting to management.
- Monitor all journal entries, accruals, provisions, and ledger reconciliations.
2. Inventory & Warehouse Financial Control
- Oversee accounting of:
- Raw materials
- Work-in-progress (WIP)
- Finished goods
- Packaging materials
- Ensure monthly stock reconciliation between physical warehouse inventory and accounting records.
- Monitor slow-moving, expired, damaged, or obsolete inventory.
- Implement strong inventory valuation and control procedures.
3. Budgeting & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor department expenses and production-related spending against approved budgets.
- Manage working capital, supplier payments, receivables collection, and cash flow forecasting.
- Provide financial recommendations for cost savings and profitability enhancement.
4.Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Thai Revenue Department requirements, VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax, and Social Security contributions.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
- Prepare schedules for annual external audits and internal audits.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and statutory records.
5.Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Establish and strengthen accounting SOPs and internal controls.
- Ensure approval controls for purchases, expenses, payments, and inventory issuance.
- Minimize financial leakage, stock discrepancies, and accounting risks.
- Participate in ERP/accounting system improvements.
6.Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise the accounting staff.
- Train subordinates on accounting procedures, documentation, and compliance.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and deadline discipline.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in managerial role within manufacturing industry.
- Prior experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, noodles, snacks, or packaged consumer goods highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
- Cost Accounting
- Inventory Accounting
- Factory overhead allocation
- Thai taxation and statutory compliance
- Experience using ERP or manufacturing accounting software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Good leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- High integrity and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work closely with factory operations and production teams.
- Experience in setting up internal financial controls in manufacturing plants.
- Knowledge of export accounting/documentation is an advantage.
- Ability to handle multi-product costing and margin analysis.
