Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Advisory & Thai Track Expertise:
o Serve as the primary expert and consultant on the Thai University Central Admission System (TCAS), including Portfolio, Quota, Admission, and Direct Admission rounds.
o Provide up-to-date insights on career trends and emerging academic programs within the Thai higher education landscape.
o Conduct in-depth research and deliver high-impact presentations on Thai University Pathways (e.g., International Programs vs. Regular Programs).

• Relationship Management:
o Proactively cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with top-tier Thai universities (e.g., CU, TU, MU, KU) to stay informed about evolving selection criteria and "hidden" application nuances.
o Act as the key liaison between the school and university admissions officers, facilitating campus visits and recruitment fairs.

• Student & Family Engagement:
o Provide personalized, one-on-one counseling to students and parents to align academic goals with Thai university requirements.
o Facilitate workshops and information sessions to educate the community on standardized testing (TGAT/TPAT, A-Level) and internal university assessments.
o Guide students in building competitive portfolios that meet the specific rubrics of Thai international and medical programs.

• Collaborative Leadership:
o Partner with the Senior College Admissions Counselor (SCAC) to integrate Thai and International counseling strategies, ensuring a holistic "Best Fit" approach for every student.
o Co-develop innovative counseling programs and co-lead family information evenings.
o Support the admissions team by serving as the Senior Research Project (SRP) coordinator, ensuring students' research topics align with their future Thai university majors.

• Reporting & Administration:
o Systematically gather data from students and parents regarding their college aspirations and concerns.
o regarding university placement success and counseling department milestones.
o Maintain availability for scheduled consultations via multiple channels (In-person, Online, and Telephone) to ensure high accessibility for the school community.

Qualifications

1. Education & Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Counseling Psychology, School Counseling, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in college counseling, career guidance, or university admissions, preferably within an International School or Bilingual environment.
• System Expertise: Expert knowledge of the Thai University Central Admission System (TCAS) across all rounds (Portfolio, Quota, Admission, and Direct Admission).

2. Technical Skills & Knowledge
• Curriculum & Equivalence: Strong understanding of how international curricula and standardized tests translate into Thai university requirements.
• Academic Pathways: In-depth knowledge of Thai International Programs (e.g., Chulalongkorn’s ISE/BALAC/JEP, Thammasat’s BBA/BE/TEP-TEPE, MUIC, etc.)
• Bilingual Proficiency: Exceptional command of both Thai and English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with international faculty, Thai parents, and university admissions officers.
• Presentation Skills: Proven ability to design and deliver engaging presentations and workshops for large groups of parents and students.

3. Soft Skills & Attributes
• Active Listening & Empathy: Ability to provide supportive, student-centered counseling to help students manage the stress of the application process.
• Strategic Thinking: Capability to analyze admission data and trends to provide "best-fit" recommendations for each student’s unique profile.
• Organizational Excellence: High level of attention to detail regarding application deadlines, documentation, and record-keeping.
• Professional Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records and family consultations.

4. Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous)
