Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities are generally divided into three main areas: Safety & Supervision, Administrative Support, and Operational/Logistical Support.
A. Safety and Supervision
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, including but not limited to: arrival/dismissal, hallways, lunch/cafeteria, recess/playground, and during transitions between classes.
- Monitor campus grounds and facilities to ensure student safety and adherence to school rules.
- Manage student behavior using positive and consistent disciplinary techniques as directed by school policy, reporting serious incidents to the appropriate faculty or administrator.
- Assist with school drills (fire, earthquake, lockdown) and emergency procedures.
- Monitor and control visitor access, ensuring all guests sign in and wear proper identification.
B. Administrative and Clerical Support
- Provide coverage and assistance to the main office or divisional offices as needed (e.g., answering phones, relaying messages, assisting with walk-in inquiries).
- Assist teachers and administrators with photocopying, preparing materials, collating documents, and organizing resources for events or classes.
- Maintain and organize resource rooms, staff lounges, and common student areas.
- Help with data entry or simple clerical tasks as assigned by the administrative team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or in a school/office environment is highly desirable.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), particularly the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with a diverse community of international students, parents, and staff.
