Responsibilities
Project Delivery and Coordination
• Work with team members, business users, vendors, and related IT teams during the initial stage of new projects.
• Understand business requirements and help translate them into system or technical requirements.
• Provide input on project feasibility, solution approach, timeline, resource needs, risks, and technical impact.
• Coordinate project activities and ensure progress continues even when disagreements arise among users, developers, vendors, or other stakeholders.
• Escalate key issues, risks, and decisions to management when necessary.
SDLC Governance and Documentation
• Oversee the full SDLC across assigned application projects.
• Ensure project activities comply with internal IT policies, governance standards, security requirements, audit expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure required documents are properly prepared, reviewed, approved, and maintained
Team Leadership
• Support the Head of IT Development in managing the Trading Application Development team.
• Provide guidance and support to developers and team members.
• Monitor team workload, project progress, delivery quality, and team performance.
• Promote ownership, accountability, teamwork, and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure key system knowledge is documented and shared within the team.
System Design and Technical Oversight
• Provide high-level system design and technical direction for trading-related applications.
• Review solution design to ensure it is secure, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
• Ensure application design supports appropriate scalability and performance without unnecessary over-engineering.
• Review technical impact on existing systems, interfaces, infrastructure, operations, and downstream systems.
• Oversee integration areas such as Internet Trading, DMA, order management, trading gateways, market connectivity, back-office systems, reporting systems, databases, APIs, and vendor systems.
Security, Reliability, and Production Stability
• Ensure applications follow secure development practices and internal security standards.
• Work with cybersecurity, infrastructure, network, and operations teams to address risks, vulnerabilities, audit findings, and system weaknesses.
• Support performance review, capacity planning, availability, resilience, and recovery planning based on business criticality.
• Ensure production stability is considered before every major release or system change.
Testing, UAT, and Deployment
• Review unit testing coverage and ensure proper test evidence is prepared.
• Support business users during User Acceptance Testing, UAT.
• Track UAT issues, coordinate fixes, support retesting, and prepare or review documents for UAT Sign-Off.
• Coordinate with related teams during production release and stabilization.
Production Support and Incident Tracking
• Support production issue investigation and resolution for related trading systems.
• Ensure incidents are properly logged, assigned, tracked, followed up, and closed.
• Coordinate root cause analysis and preventive actions for critical or recurring incidents.
• Provide clear status updates to users, management, and relevant stakeholders.
Support incident reports for management, audit, or regulatory purposes when required.Qualifications
• Minimum 25 years of overall IT experience, preferably in application development, application management, system implementation, IT project delivery, or production support.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in application development or application management, preferably in financial services, securities, brokerage, capital markets, banking, or other mission-critical environments.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with trading-related systems, such as Internet Trading, DMA, Order Management System, market connectivity, trading gateway, exchange connectivity, or securities trading platforms.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership or people management experience, including managing developers and coordinating with users, vendors, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, operations teams, and senior management.

Strong experience in SDLC governance, system
design review, UAT support, deployment, incident management, and production
support.
• Experience working with
audit, compliance, regulatory, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or operations
teams is preferred.
