• Develop new products and improve existing products to enhance functionality, performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Create and maintain 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, engineering specifications, and technical documentation
• Design and build prototypes for evaluation and validation
• Engineering analysis and product testing; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Review and optimize plastic part designs for manufacturability (DFM)
• Participate in mold trials, sample evaluations, and production qualification
• Coordinate prototype fabrication using 3D printing and other rapid prototyping methods
• Develop testing plans and validation procedures; perform product performance testing and document results
• Support design verification and production validation activities
• Support manufacturing teams in solving production-related issues
• Investigate and resolve quality problems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency, quality, and cost performance
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for design optimization
• Coordinate with suppliers on tooling, molded parts, assembly processes, printing processes, and product quality

Required Skills

• Design and develop products using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
• Develop prototypes and conduct validation testing
• Support plastic injection molding, tooling development, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing and quality issues through root cause analysis
• Utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini) to improve engineering productivity, documentation, and decision-making
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality teams, suppliers, and external partners throughout product development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or related fields
• 3–5 years of experience in product development, industrial design, manufacturing engineering, or consumer product development
• Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
• Strong knowledge of plastic materials, injection molding, mold construction, and 3D printing technologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• TOEIC score of 550 or equivalent English communication skills preferred
