Responsibilities

  • Develop purchasing strategies aligned with business plans, operational needs, and cost targets.
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise the team, and monitor performance.
  • Oversee local and international purchasing of salmon, food ingredients, non-food products, and restaurant supplies.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers and negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Warehouse, Inventory, Marketing, and Finance to ensure sufficient stock and prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Manage import processes, including shipping documents, customs coordination, and FDA applications for new imported products.
  • Source new food products based on marketing plans, menu launches, and business requirements.
  • Ensure purchased items meet quality, food-safety, and company standards.
  • Prepare monthly inventory reports, cost calculations, price analyses, and cost-saving reports.
  • Maintain supplier records, purchasing documents, contracts, and system data accurately.
  • Improve purchasing, inventory, and logistics processes and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Train team members and relevant employees on purchasing procedures and BC365.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Food Science, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of purchasing or supply-chain experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in the restaurant, F&B, retail, or food-import business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of international purchasing, inventory management, shipping documents, and FDA procedures.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, BC365, or other ERP/purchasing systems.
  • Strong negotiation, cost-analysis, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good leadership skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-branch business.
