Responsibilities
Your role in MOSS Energy:
- Read, understand and summarize technical tender specifications for solar power plants
- Design solar power plants with electrical components such as inverters, transformers, and substations for rooftop, floating and ground mount commercial solar systems
- Perform electrical calculations to determine component sizing (e.g. cable, fuse, breaker sizing)
- Complete/design interconnection drawings, single line diagrams, tender drawing sets, for construction sets, and as-built drawings for solar projects.
- Define materials specifications to ensure that they follow electrical standards and customer requirements
- Design solar system layouts in AutoCAD/Sketchup
- Assist in deriving construction material quantities and specifications as part of BOMs (bill of materials) and BOQ (bill of quantities) for our tender submissions
- Conduct site visits nationally and retrieve technical information from customers and their site/s
- Manage engineering technical clarifications with our clients
- Collaborate internally and externally with engineers and suppliers to design the best solutions for our clients
- Manage and update all AutoCAD templates, tool palettes and dynamic blocks
- Present concise and relevant summaries to high level stakeholders
- Perform detailed energy output simulations in PV Syst (not compulsory)
Qualifications
Skills you would bring to MOSS Energy:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering license in Thailand (any applications without a relevant license will be rejected immediately)
- Solid technical knowledge of electrical design
- Have a good understanding of IEC and EIT electrical standards
- 3 -5 years’ experience in solar projects (not compulsory)
- All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to work to reasonably strict timeliness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good people skills
- Flexible schedule and willingness to travel.
- Relevant permit to work or resident status for working in Thailand
